Dr. Marta Ledo is a Medical Doctor specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics and has been part of Procriar since 2022, where she provides close and specialized care to women and couples in the fields of Fertility and Medically Assisted Reproduction. She is a member of the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Portuguese Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
She graduated in Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto (ICBAS-UP) in 2005 and completed her Residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, in Funchal, between 2007 and 2013.
Between 2013 and 2017, she joined the Reproductive Medicine team at Centro Materno-Infantil do Norte, further deepening her expertise in this field. From 2017 to 2021, she worked as an Attending Physician at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, in Funchal, carrying out her clinical activity at the SESARAM Center for Reproductive Medicine. In parallel, she also practiced at Hospital Particular da Madeira, with a particular focus on Infertility, Gynecological Endocrinology, and Gynecological Ultrasound.
Since 2022, she has been part of the Procriar team in Porto, where she currently carries out all her clinical activity, guided by a rigorous, individualized, and compassionate approach, supporting all those who seek help in building their family.
I work in a field that deeply inspires me. Since my medical residency, I have been dedicated to reproductive medicine and, throughout my career, I have increasingly specialized in this area. It is a field to which I devote myself 100%. I enjoy all its nuances, from the medical and surgical aspects to the close relationship with patients. It is a privilege to be part of the dream of women and couples who wish to have a baby.
