Find your perfect match
At Procriar, we’re proud to offer one of Portugal’s largest open-ID donor banks, providing a diverse selection of egg and sperm donors from different ethnic backgrounds. Quality is key in our donor program. We carefully oversee every step, conducting thorough screenings for genetic and infectious diseases, and psychological evaluations to ensure the best matches. This commitment prioritises safety and boosts the chances of successful treatment outcomes.
What is Open-ID donation?
In open-ID donation, also called non-anonymous donation, donor-conceived children are entitled to get information about the civil identification of their donors after they turn 18 years old. This setup makes it easier for them to access health information since open-ID donors are usually more open to follow-up contacts. It’s a choice that lets people explore their genetic background in a safe and well-supported manner.

Choice and Support
You have the freedom to decide whether to tell your child that they are donor conceived. Rest assured, donors cannot reach out to your child and have no legal claims or rights over them.
Clear and Ethical Practices
We prioritise ethical donation practices and closely regulate the number of donations per donor, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Supportive Donor Care
Our donors receive proper guidance to handle potential contact from children born from their donation, offering peace of mind to all involved.
Diverse Donor Bank
Our donor coordinator finds the optimal match from our large and diverse donor bank based on your indicated preferences.
Genetic Compatibility Assurance
Through genetic testing, we ensure that most shared gene mutations between the patient and donor are identified, reducing the risk of genetic disorders in children born from donation.
