She is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/spginecologia.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Portuguese Society of Gynaecology<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spmr.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isgesociety.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Society of Gynaecological Endocrinology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She completed her Integrated Master\u2019s Degree in Medicine at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sigarra.up.pt\/fmup\/pt\/web_page.inicial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto<\/a> in 2008 and obtained specialist accreditation in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in 2016, following the completion of her specialty training at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chtmad.min-saude.pt\">Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes and Alto Douro Hospital Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2014 and 2017, she worked as a Hospital Consultant in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulsts.min-saude.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">T\u00e2mega e Sousa Hospital Centre<\/a> in Penafiel, joining the Fertility Support Unit in 2020. At the same institution, in 2022, she established and currently leads the Gynaecological Endocrinology and Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology clinics.<\/p>\n<p>Until 2024, Dr Diana Melo Castro was involved in undergraduate medical education for medical students at the University of Porto and served as a training supervisor for the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Specialty Training Programme at the T\u00e2mega e Sousa Hospital Centre. In 2022, she obtained IOTA certification in gynaecological ultrasound and, in 2025, achieved the status of Consultant within the Medical Career.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside her work at Procriar, she has been practising as a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hospitaldaluz.pt\/vila-real\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hospital da Luz in Vila Real<\/a> since 2021 and also provides consultations at <a href=\"https:\/\/portoclinica.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Porto Cl\u00ednica<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/uniclinica.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unicl\u00ednica<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It is incredibly rewarding to help couples every day fulfil their dream and to be part of their journey towards having a child.
